Application for Shoot from Vehicle Permit 

A Shoot from Vehicle Permit authorizes a qualifying disabled hunter to lawfully shoot game animals from a stationary motor vehicle.

Persons with a temporary/permanent ambulatory condition or injury, shall complete this application and must have Part C of the application form completed and signed by a licensed physician, verifying the applicant’s medical condition or disability. 

The hunter will need to obtain the required state licenses for whatever species are to be hunted.  The permit limitations or guidelines specify what a person legally can and cannot do while in possession of a Shoot from Vehicle Permit.

Applications can be uploaded to your licensing profile on Go Outdoors South Dakota.

  1. Log in to your profile on the Go Outdoors South Dakota licensing page.
  2. Select the Specialty Licenses tab.
  3. Find the Shoot from Vehicle Permit Application or Temporary Shoot from Vehicle Permit Application and click apply.
  4. Select the shopping cart icon on the top of the page, then read and follow the directions to submit your application.

Once your permit is processed, you will be sent a Transaction Confirmation email. the email will have an attachment that contains your permit. You can print off the permit for your use or you can save a picture of the permit to your phone.
