Lake Louise Recreation Area

/userdocs/Lake Louise Recreation Area

Lake Louise Recreation Area is a hidden gem in South Dakota that offers a peaceful blend of water-based fun, long hiking trails, and a rustic camping experience. Set against a backdrop of rolling landscapes, the area features a sparkling lake perfect for fishing, boating, and refreshing swims. Bird watchers, hunters, anglers, or just plain nature observers will all be rewarded with glimpses of wildlife and native trees.

Visitors can choose between the electrical half of the park, which features a comfort station, playground, two cabins, 32 electrical sites, fishing access, and a boating dock with adjacent fish cleaning station, or the primitive side, which features a double vault toilet, 8 non-electric sites, an archery range, and a trail that swings through the thick trees. In the middle of the two campgrounds there’s a day use area that features a sandy beach, playground, and restroom.
