GFP Begins Phase Two on Outdoor Campus Sioux Falls Expansion

Sioux Falls, S.D. – The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) has announced that construction for Phase Two of the Outdoor Campus Sioux Falls expansion project is set to begin. 

Phase Two of the project involves an expansion of the overall footprint of the Outdoor Campus facility, which will include an indoor archery range, additional classrooms, and improvements to the general facilities. 

Sertoma Park trail users are encouraged to be aware that the construction will affect some of the trails near the Outdoor Campus. Please obey all marked signs regarding closed trails and utilize detours. 

The project is expected to take 18 months to complete, with a completion date of Fall 2026. The Outdoor Campus and GFP Regional Wildlife Office will remain open to the public throughout the construction process.

Located within Sertoma Park (4300 South Oxbow Avenue), the Outdoor Campus Sioux Falls offers a unique opportunity for people of all ages to connect with the outdoors through free educational programs and activities. The Outdoor Campus offers a variety of classes on topics such as fishing, hunting, archery, and conservation.
