GFP to Celebrate Two Major Projects in Sioux Falls Area
July 8, 2024PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) will be celebrating two major projects in the Sioux Falls area July 11-12.
In conjunction with the GFP Commission meeting being held at Good Earth State Park, GFP staff and commissioners will be hosting a ribbon-cutting event at Palisades State Park and a groundbreaking event at the Outdoor Campus Sioux Falls.
Palisades State Park Ribbon-Cutting
Individuals are encouraged to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of the expansion at Palisades State Park, which includes the new King Campground.
This event will take place Thursday, July 11 and will begin with a program from 9:30-10:15 a.m., with tours to follow from 10:15-11:00 a.m CT.
At the conclusion of the tour there will be an opportunity for members of the media to conduct interviews with GFP staff, GFP commissioners, and donors.
Outdoor Campus Sioux Falls Ground Breaking
Following the conclusion of the GFP Commission meeting Friday, July 12, GFP will be conducting a ground breaking at the Outdoor Campus Sioux Falls.
This event will take place Friday, July 12 and will begin with a presentation at 11:30 a.m. CT. The ground breaking will take place immediately after.
At the conclusion of the event there will be an opportunity for members of the media to conduct interviews with GFP staff, GFP commissioners, and donors.
