GFP-NASP 2024 Tournament Crowns Champions
March 26, 2024PIERRE S.D. – South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) hosted its largest National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) State Tournament on March 21 at Black Hills State University in Spearfish. Nine-hundred and eighteen youth competed between the 3D and Bullseye tournaments.
Top individuals and teams in the Elementary, Middle School, and High School Divisions received trophies, and overall top individual scores were awarded customized bows supplied by GFP. The top ten male and female archers in each division of the Bullseye tournament qualify for the national NASP Tournament. The top team in each division also qualified for the national tournament.

“Studies have shown that students who participate in NASP like school better and attend school more often. NASP is a positive partnership between GFP and local school districts,” stated Kelly Fettig, GFP’s NASP Coordinator. “GFP is proud to sponsor this program and give students across the state an opportunity to learn archery.”
Students who participate in NASP within their schools or home school program and report ten hours of in-school participation are eligible for this tournament and others like it put on throughout the state.
