GFP Commission Meeting to Be Held in Spearfish
The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) Commission will hold their monthly meeting at the Spearfish Holiday Inn on Sept. 5-6
The Commission will be proposing: chronic wasting disease (CWD) regulations, trapping regulations, muzzleloader scopes, the mountain lion hunting season, hoop net and setline regulations, fish importation rules, and aquatic invasive species rules.
The Commission will be finalizing: velvet antler tagging rules, and wildlife feeding dates.
The Commission will be discussing the trap check proposal, but will not finalize this until their October meeting.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting and make use of the open forum to share their thoughts on topics being heard and discussed by the GFP Commission.
The Commission will also be hearing a public petition on muzzleloader antelope.

The meeting will begin Thursday, Sept. 5 at 1:00 p.m. MDT, with the public hearing beginning at 2:00 p.m.
