We can replace your annual license at no cost in those situations but we need to have the old one to void. Before you get your windshield replaced or sell/trade your vehicle, scrape the old license off with a razor blade and stick it to a piece of paper. It does not have to be in one piece, but get all the pieces. Then, bring it into any South Dakota State Park office or staffed entrance booth and they'll issue a replacement free of charge.
