December 1 – 31, 2023:  Festival of Trees daily 9:00am – 4:00pm at the Main Visitor Center 
A seasonal celebration of trees! Custer State Park is hosting its sixth Annual Festival of Trees to celebrate the holiday season.
The Festival of Trees is an opportunity for local businesses, civic organizations, and individuals to display a tree at the Custer State Park Visitor Center through the holiday season. Visitors can than walk through the beautifully decorated trees and vote on their favorite one.
Voting on trees will be open Saturday, Dec. 1, 2023 and ends Jan. 1, 2024 after the First Day Hike. The winner of the “favorite tree” will be announced via Facebook.
A park entrance license is required to enter the park and may be purchased at the Park Office from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. during the week, or at the Visitor Center which is open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In observance of the holidays the Visitor Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
