Game Fish & Parks is offering a  Project Learning Tree® (PLT) facilitator workshop. It is an award-winning environmental education program for teachers, other educators, parents, and community leaders working with youth from preschool through grade 12.

The training and activity guide contains all the information needed to conduct a variety of lesson plans for the classroom or nature activities on field trips. They include objectives, methods, background information, a list of materials needed, procedures, evaluation suggestions, recommended grade levels, subject areas, duration, group size, setting, and key terms. A glossary and a cross-reference by topics and skills are also provided.

If you are an educator looking for ways to incorporate the outdoors into an existing curriculum, the activity guides offer an array of resources for consideration. Project Learning Tree® (PLT) provides educators with high-quality professional development, hands-on activities, and a multi-disciplinary supplemental curriculum that can be easily integrated into lesson plans for all grades and subject areas to help teach youth about trees, forests, and the environment.

Supper will be provided.
