First Day Hike - Self-guided

Kick off 2021 with a hike at Oakwood Lakes State Park! Our annual First Day Hike will be self-guided and can be done anytime Jan. 1 at 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Jan. 3. Sign in at the warming shelter near Mortimer’s Cabin for a chance to win a prize. The hike will be one mile in length if you just hike Mortimer’s Shoreline Trail, but feel free to hike more! Animal Track Scavenger Hunt sheets will be available in the Warming Shelter to add a bit of adventure to your hike. There is no cost to participate, but a vehicle park entrance license is required. For more information, please contact the park office at 627-5441.
