Yellow Perch

Yellow Perch are found statewide primarily in cool water habitats of rivers, lakes and impoundments. They feed primarily on crustaceans, insects, mollusks and small fishes.

Yellow Perch have a body that is taller than it is wide. Its mouth extends to the eye and has small teeth. The body is olive-green on the back with 6-8 dark yellow, vertical stripes on the side
