Private Lands Habitat Program
- GFP recognizes landowners as essential partners in implementing conservation initiatives. Voluntary private land habitat programs are designed to meet the issues and opportunities offered by the federal Farm Bill programs and the needs of private landowners to establish and enhance wildlife habitat.
- The Wildlife Diversity Program inventories, protects, and manages the diversity of species and habitats in South Dakota, including threatened or endangered species. It works to sustain all native plants, animals, and habitats.
