Wildlife and Habitat
While hunting and fishing are what most users think of when they look at GFP, there are a multitude of programs behind the scenes that support those activities, as well as other non-game species.
- We work with landowners to improve habitat and access.
- We monitor nuisance species that invade and degrade habitat, as well as rare, threatened and endangered species struggling to survive, as well as other non-game species.
- We do research to prepare wildlife management plans.
