NonProfit Youth Camping Areas
The campgrounds are designed for youth groups (Boy Scout, Girl Scouts, Church Groups, etc.) with adult supervision. Nonprofit youth groups are eligible for discount camping.
Center Lake
Open: May 17 - September 30

- Water may be obtained from the shower house located near the swimming beach.
- Showers are available at the Center Lake shower house between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Directions
Located within Custer State Park's Center Lake Campground complex. Center Lake Campground is located off SD Highway 87 North, three miles north of junction US 16A and SD 87N.
Center Lake Nonprofit Youth Camp is designed for youth groups camping in tents only. Groups must have adult supervision. Fishing, swimming, hiking and outdoor adventures await you.
Shady Rest
Shady Rest Nonprofit Youth Camp is designed for youth groups camping in tents with adult supervision. The surrounding Ponderosa Pines create a peaceful camping experience.
