The 3rd Annual S.D. NASP Tournament was held march 31, 2012 at the Swiftel Center in Brookings, SD.

Highlights:

  • Over 370 kids registered (up 20% from 2011).
  • Over 40 volunteers.
  • 35 lanes and "A-K flights", one flight had 60 shooters.
  • "Dakota Life" on PBS will be doing a feature on SD Archery and will include a segment on NASP and the tournament this summer.
  • NASP is paid for by Section 10 (enhanced hunter ed) and GF&P dollars.
  • Trophies and prizes were donated by GF&P, NFAA-Yankton, Dakota Archery - Yankton, Easton Foundation, Spearfish Rifle and Trap Club, Jones Co. Sportsmen's Club, Scheels of Sioux Falls, South Dakota Archers Association. Brookings Convention and Visitors Bureau covered the cost of the Swiftel Center.
