Volksmarches are non-competitive walks along pre-marked routes. Teaming up with the Black Hills Volkssport Association, Custer State Park offers a seasonal trail for interested hikers.
For more information or to make group arrangements, contact the Peter Norbeck Visitor Center at 605.255.4464.
Some trail bridges on Grace Coolidge Walk-In Fishing Area trail are out due to high water conditions in the park. The trail can be hiked, but walking through the creek is required and hikers will get wet. Bridges will be out indefinitely until weather and ground conditions improve and trail staff are able to replace the bridges.
Where to Start
Trails starts at the Badger Hole (1/2 mile south of US Highway 16A on Badger Clark Road).
