Did you ever think you could win a fishing derby without weighing or measuring a fish?  Here's your chance!  Lake Poinsett is hosting is first, and maybe only, Kids Facebook Fishing Derby and the rules are simple.  1.Take a kid, 15 or under fishing at Lake Poinsett anytime between 12AM  on May 14th and 11:59 PM on May 31st.  2.Post a picture of your child holding their big catch to Lake Poinsett State Recreation Area's Facebook page OR Message Lake Poinsett throught Facebook Messenger with a picture of your junior angler and their fish.  3. Have Fun!  On June 1st the winners will be randomly selected from the pictures we receive and will be contacted through Facebook.  The weather is getting nicer and the fish are biting! Grab your kids and head to the lake.

Park License is Required.
