Urban Turkey Hunt

This unique education opportunity will walk students through safety, turkey hunting tactics, how to use turkey calls and decoys, how to properly care for and process a harvested turkey, and the hunt. 

Selection for this educational hunt will be through a lottery system and is open to students 10-15 years old.  The student will only be allowed to hunt with a GFP Employee or GFP Sanctioned Volunteer Mentor. 

Application is due by March 31, 2022 at 5 p.m.

Permanent Orienteering Course

Individuals and groups can check out orienteering maps and compasses during open building hours and test their map and compass skills on our permanent "O" course. Both beginner and intermediate courses are available. Individuals may just stop in; preregistration is recommended for groups by calling 605.362.2777. There is no cost. If you would prefer some instruction before hand, sign up for one our orienteering classes!
