FREE! Capital Campout invites families for a weekend of fun and tent camping on the lawn of the State Capitol building. Families will participate in several exclusive activities throughout the weekend, and we'll even provide meals during the program. On Saturday, we'll join Outdoor University, which is open to the public and gives the whole family the opportunity to try out a variety of outdoor activities, including kayaking, canoeing, fishing, rock climbing, air rifles, archery and more.



Friday, June 10
6-10 p.m. Check-in and campsite set up*

S’mores and more
10 p.m. Quiet hours, retire to campsites for family time
Saturday, June 11
7-9 a.m. Breakfast
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Outdoor University, family time
  Lunch voucher provided for campers

6 p.m. Supper, evening programs
10 p.m. Quiet hours, retire to campsites for family time
Sunday, June 12
7-9 a.m. Breakfast
7-11 a.m. Check-out, campsite clean-up*

* Due to road closures and safety concerns, late arrivals and early departures are not permitted.
